MAKE BY THE LAKE: Fun With Orang Asli Crafts
(Sat 18 Oct ONLY, 3-8pm, Perdana Canopy)
Learn the traditional crafts of the Semai people at Art For Grabs in the Park. After spending a month with master craftsmakers, Malaysian artist Liew Kung Yu and friends will transfer their newly acquired knowledge to you. For expert level artisans, the Semai master craftmakers will also be on hand to teach. The Semai are a peaceful indigenous community who live predominantly in Perak and Pahang. Each workshop will be 20-minutes long – ideal for visitors who want to participate in all festival events and have only a short time to do so!
